First week completed. I have had a great time at my internship this far and there seem to be only sunny days ahead. Being the first week of course there are so many people to meet. I am nearly the 200th employee. That is what I have been doing for what feels like the most part of the week. Going from department to the next. For example the first day, after I went out for lunch, I hung out with the machinists and learned about welding as well. Which is actually more scientific than you think. Then on Thursday I went to Large Assembly and actually got to put together some of the parts that StoneAge sells.
After the time I spent with the departments I would go to my desk and work on learning Solidworks, a CAD software. And by Wednesday I had started to create the part I am working on for my project. The project I am currently working on is something that makes it so that when the ABX-500(Auto-Box 500) runs and feeds the hose to a tool it doesn't lose its grip on it. We are currently thinking of something like a funnel or something that will just make the hole smaller than what it originally is. Thus far I have had a great internship and look forward to continue working. See you in a week Janae.
