ReflectionThis prject was on how to survive a foreng Spanish speaking country. Berr and I did ours on Guatemala. Berr had been there before and that made it easier on us. Anyways we made a Survival Guide for Guatemala with may different examples.
I have learned that the people that live in Guatemala drive like a racer. If you go into one of the Tuk - Tuks you will be sailing. If you instead choose the bus you will wish there was a seat belt. Both go extreemly fast and in the buss you can easily be robbed. So when traveling in Guatemala be carefull with dirving. I have definetly improved on writing in Spanish the most. In the tests we do there are writing tests and I have problems with de, the Spanish word for both from and of. I would rather say madres cuchara instead of la cuchara de mi madre.

Mi ReflecciónIn this project we had to write for a newspaper in a Spanish speaking country and we had to write it in Espanol. So at the start we had to write our own 250 word article and for me I chose to write an ad so instead I had to write two ads to get the product to 250 words. After that was done we were assigned to a group and we had to put the product into a news paper. I did well in writing the ad itself and the grade for that was an A only missing a couple of details. As for the two ads I found they were a traveling company and an amusement park in Bogota. The amusement park was Salitre Mágico. I had trouble writing the ads in Espanol. What I was writing became so complicated and got so deep that I had to look up a lot of the words in word reference. Along with that I had to get some help from my teacher on lunches, but that was good for me because I got to learn from the teacher. I learned that I have a hard time writing in Spanish and should try and push myself so that I can become fluent enough that I can go to a Spanish speaking country and know how to talk to the locals. It is nice knowing what is happening in other countries due to the fact that I am doing a project in humanities that is focusing on Chile and Colombia is close to Chile and knowing what is happening around my country is important in this project. Que es Dia de los Muertos Projecto? The project was about learning about the Mexican culture. There were many different requirements. We had to make an art piece that was appeasing and also showed what they would do most of the time. Then we had to write a two paragraph paper on their life and what they did throughout it. Fui a cama llorando y ella me tranquilo y me ayudó dormir. El no divorcio esta bueno para ninos. Recuerdo ella porque ella era mi primer gato. Este es por que amo me primer gato Puss - Puss. Mi ArteReflexionFor me I loved the project. It was fun to make the art of our lost loved ones. As you can see above my cat is relaxing outside soaking in the sun which she loved to do. She was always the cat that loved being outside, but she also love to lay under the covers in a warm bed.
I feel that I could have made the writing a little longer and have worked on the art a little more in detail. She was colorful and pretty well decorated, but there were some dents here and there that I needed to pay a little more detail to. The writing also could have gone a little deeper, but all-in-all I feel I did well. |
